We took everything out of the trailer to make sure it was all there and to know what we have.
This was done by the cub scouts and our troop. Most community sevice events are on the weekend and mostly Saterdays.
This is one of our troop meetings. Each meeting is diffrent and is planed by the scout leaders. If you are intrested in joining we invite you to a troop meeting. They are held on thursdays at Albertvill city hall for 2 Thrusdays each month. Check the calendar above fo dates.
We did this a few years ago but are doing it again as a troop.
Our troop heads about 3-4 hours north to many Point scout camp each year on late July and early August. We go for a week but unlike every other campout here we stay in the section of Many Point that provides food and the camp also cooks the food.
Many Point has a lot to do in your one week and sailing is one of them. Many Point is a place to learn, rank up, and have fun. This is a great place to get merit badges. Some of the troop activities include the climing tower, the rifle range, tomahawks + axe throwing, swimming, and much more.
Troop 547 has agreed to service the retired flag box at the Albertville Ace Hardware store. The flag box was built by one of our Eagle Scouts as a lasting service to the community.
The Scout(s) should wear their uniform.
Go to Ace in Albertville and find the flag box for retired flags near the entrance, inside the building. The box has our Troop # on it.
Remove the flags. It is helpful to bring a tub or some containers to place them in.
Clean the exterior of the flag box - it gets really dusty. It is nice to wipe it down with an old rag.
Bring the flags to the Legion in St. Michael. Speak with the staff there to find out how they want you to handle the flags. Sometimes they take them directly, and other times they have asked us to place them in their flag box.
This may be used as service time.
